Overview
Three posters made for very different contexts. 'The Thread' is an illustrated campaign about women's craft and economic power. 'In the Name of God' is a film poster in a classical, ornamented style. 'The Night That Never Sleeps' is an out-of-home placement about light pollution, designed to be read in the dark at a bus shelter.
Deliverables
What was produced
- 01

- 02

- 03

Approach
How it was designed
- 01
'The Thread' is illustrated rather than photographed, so a story about many women is not tied to one identifiable person.
- 02
The film poster uses a period-accurate ornamental frame and a distressed paper ground to place the story without a single caption.
- 03
The light-pollution poster is designed dark-on-dark with a single lit element, so the medium – an illuminated panel at night – makes the argument.
- 04
Each poster is composed for its real viewing distance: a wall, a lobby, a pavement at speed.
