Overview
Whiteroom is a bridal atelier in Bornheim where every dress is made by hand by Lucja Stenzel. Buying a wedding dress is an emotional, high-consideration purchase made largely on trust in the person making it, so the site is written in the first person – a letter from Lucja, her promise, her album – rather than as a shop. The commercial goal throughout is one thing: book an appointment at the atelier.
Deliverables
What was produced
- 01
Homepage opening with a personal letter from the designer.
- 02
Bridalwear and occasionwear collections with an atelier gallery.
- 03
'Der Weg' section explaining the appointment and fitting process step by step.
- 04
About, testimonials, opening hours and a contact and appointment flow.
Approach
How it was designed
- 01
First-person copy throughout – in a craft purchase the maker is the product, and anonymity would cost the sale.
- 02
A muted, film-like palette and a script wordmark keep the atelier romantic without drifting into wedding-industry cliché.
- 03
The process section is explicit about what happens at a fitting, which lowers the barrier to booking a first appointment.
- 04
Dresses are photographed in the atelier rather than on a white background, keeping the handmade story visible.
